Wednesday Morning Rant

Glenn Beck’s   “The Revolutionary Holocaust: Live Free or Die” aired last Friday.  Hopefully, Fox News will air it again soon.  Ron Radosh offers a critique of the documentary, and some of the documentary’s critics.  (A clip is available here.)

While the U.S. media is doing it’s best to ignore Climategate, the Brits aren’t letting it go.  Thankfully!  As with pretty much everything these days, if you want to know the truth, follow the money.

Roadmap for Republicans:

What Gov. McConnell needs to say tonight.

The Scott Brown Effect.

Can the GOP look beyond their own self-interest and inflated egos?  I have my doubts.

Barack Obama, an empty suit.

POTUS (cf, the empty suit) to raise the spectre of immigration reform in his SOTU?  As if the country’s collective blood pressure can go any higher.  Hopefully, it will be all talk, no action, as Byron York suggests.

Also on the SOTU agenda: spending “freeze” plus by 6.2% increase in education spending.  Populism!! Populism!!  Jobs!! Jobs!! Blah, blah, blah…

Is anyone but a true believer going to buy into it?

Every time some D.C. dimwit talks about the government doing more to create jobs I want to scream.  The best thing they can do to create jobs is to back off!   Get out of the way!  Let entrepreneurial America get back to work.

As demonstrated in 2009, the only jobs government can create are more government jobs (and more public union members).  And more government jobs does not equate to a health economy.  Democrats will never understand that more government is not the answer, so whatever stupid schemes they peddle are doomed to failure from the start.

Sigh. Enough of this.  Time to get to work.
