Hmm, how do I explain myself?
About me: I’m a native Nebraskan. Currently registered as Indpendent, although I was a registered Democrat for awhile. That was during my undergraduate years, and I’m pretty sure I did it because my parents are Republicans. At some point, after I’d actually paid more attention to politics, I realized that I have little in common with the Democratic Party, and switched to Republican. Sometime during the Bush era, I became disgusted with Republican corruption and incompetence, and switched to Independent.
Never thought of myself as politically inclined until 9/11. For some reason, 9/11 was the kick in the ass I needed to start looking beyond headlines.
ACK! Computer problems! To be continued…

Hey! Do you live in north eastern NE? I’d like to find a group of bitter conservatives around here.

Hey back! I live in the Lincoln area, where we have far too many leftist “intellectuals”. Lucky me

A Nebraskan Libertarian you should check out is Dr. Drew Miller. He used to be a Univ of NE Regent, now works at a DoD think tank (but still lives in NE). He just published the best Libertarian book since Atlas Shrugged. It’s called Rohan Nation: Reinventing America after the 2020 Collapse. You can read about it on amazon.com. Dr. Miller argues that unless our unconstitutional, pandering, socialist government gets refocused on it’s proper job, national security, we’re going to go down. You can read about the threat of bioterrorism in many other publications, but Dr. Miller’s book makes the threat clear by showing how it evolves and the dire consequences. Recommend it highly.
